Another fantastic trip with sharks, dolphins and gorgeous reefs. Read all about it and check out the week's video. Diving in the Bahamas.

Our guests this week endured the long flight from Germany and Austria hoping for good weather and lots of sharks. Most of the guests had never been with us, but a few were here last year as well. One guest allowed us to share his birthday during the trip.

With a few extra days of diving this trip we were confident we could provide the sharks and the weather report called for a little bit of wind, but nothing uncomfortable. We decided to start the week on one of our reefs, Hammertime.

On the first dive we were greeted by about 30 reef sharks, 5 lemon sharks, 1 nurse, 4 tigers and a hammerhead. It was a great start and it seemed that the weather was going to be even calmer than the report called for. Over the next few days we moved around the Tiger Beach area visiting sites such as Classic Tiger Beach and Crystal Tiger Beach.

We also tried out a new shallow reef which ended up bringing in around 8 tigers. Midweek we decided to take a morning to do breaching tigers. Within an hour we had about 7 tigers behind the boat competing to be photographed. Once we felt comfortable that they would follow is we headed to one of our newer spots called Tiger Madness.

By the end of the day we had seen 12 tigers with 4 lemons mixed in. The group enjoyed it so much that we decided to do the same thing the next day. First was breach tigers, then back to Tiger Madness. The second day there were more lemons, but we counted 16 tigers.

Emily and Willy, a few of our favorite tigers, came in on many occasions. With great tiger encounters checked off the list we headed North to dolphin grounds. Within minutes we had a wonderful pod of Atlantic Spotted Dolphins playing. The group snorkeled until they were exhausted, then snorkeled a little bit more.

We spent the last few days at a few of our beautiful reefs, using the corals for beautiful pictures. We also mixed in some lemon snaps and tried for cleaning stations. Overall, we were able to mix in a lot of great encounters and hopefully everyone walked away with some pictures and stories they will share for the rest of their lives.

We had friends from Mexico out on this trip for the second week in a row. Conditions started off a bit challenging on the crossing, but once in the Bahamas, everything got a bit calmer. This was a relatively short trip so we had to ask our new guests to come together as a group very quickly if they wanted to have the experience we were hoping to give them. We already had a late start on the first day, and with visibility and winds working against us we decided to try our luck at one of our breaching tiger spots. It wasn’t long before we had numerous tigers at the back of the boat, all working to give photographers some beautiful pictures. With a calm night of sleep and some much needed rest we woke up the next morning ready to dive. Throughout the day we rounded up a handful of tigers, mixing in around 30 or more lemons and a few reef sharks. On the second day of diving we stayed in the calm waters of Tiger Beach. By the end of the day we had encounters with around 15 tiger sharks. Truthfully, it was hard to keep count. It could have been more! The dive was so great that we decided to keep it going into the night, for one of the most action packed night dives we have had in a long time. On our down time we played around with some new ideas with kites and GoPros that cost us a kite. We also had a bit of fun at our guests expense (no sleeping in the salon!!!). Thanks again to a great group for having so much fun with us, even when conditions made it hard. We hope to see all of you back in the near future.

We started the week with another great group put together by Joe and 333 Productions! We had some guests that have never been out with us and a few regulars like Lupo, Kaz, and Bill After what we were told by the guests was a somewhat rough crossing, we headed to the calm and clear waters of Crystal Tiger Beach. We had an earlier start than normal and were hopeful that it would turn into an exciting first day…which it did! We ended up with around 30 lemon sharks, a couple of reef sharks, and 2 very shy tigers.

We moved locations to Shark Paradise, our 30ft reef, to see if the shy tigers would swim in closer to us. However reef sharks dominated with a few lemons mixed in. On the third day, we decided to try a new technique. We thought if we could spread the lemon sharks out it would give the tigers a chance to come in uninterrupted.

Our patience and determination payed off as we were able to bring 7 tigers in close and keep them playing for most of the day. Willy was back for the second week in a row. She is becoming quite a supermodel, never going far from the divers. Joe was able to get the best action of the week as she took his camera right out of his hands! Unfortunately he wasn’t shooting video. We also had our smallest tiger, Emily, show up for a while, but with so many larger tigers dominating the show, she didn’t get close very often.

Later in the day our group noticed a beautiful, small Green Sea Turtle on the surface. It appeared to fear for its life as shark after shark came up to the surface to investigate. Thankfully, crew member Mike Black was able to get a hold of the turtle and bring it to the boat for safe keeping until we could release it back on the reef in much safer water.

For the last two days we headed down to end of the map. Our first day there started with about 10 bull sharks before we even had the boat secured to the bottom. Then within minutes we had a beautiful, large Great Hammerhead come right in to the boat. We decided to spend all of our time with the hammerhead until it decided to leave us. So, with as many as 15 bull sharks and one tiger surrounding us, we hung at the surface concentrating all of our efforts on getting pass after pass from this majestic hammerhead. Some of our guests had been waiting years to get opportunities like this one. Once the hammer stopped coming around as much we all dropped to the bottom for a great bull shark dive. By the end of the day we were exhausted and ready for a good night sleep.

Our last day , with the worst weather of the week and seas picking up, we decided to do some exploring and headed to a wreck we haven’t been to in many years. Once we arrived, the water was so green that we had to make the call to head back north and hope for the best. We spent the day hiding behind land, telling stories, watching movies, snorkeling and exploring the uninhabited island. It was a great trip, with a total of 6 different shark species gracing us throughout the short week. With Joe back out next week, hopefully we can show him just as much action.

We were happy to welcome back Steve Rosenberg for his long awaited second trip and Andy Sallmon who has been on almost 20 trips now. Unfortunately our good friends Steve and Beth had to cancel at the last minute to stay home and take care of their very loved pets. We are wishing the best for them and hope to see them soon.

The week started off a bit rough but we made the best of it diving our shallow reefs and Tiger Beach. Once the visibility dropped and the seas picked up we headed to calmer water. We were able to bring in three tigers and got some amazing breaching photos. Later, one of our captains, Mike, got out the remote control boat and had a bit of fun letting the tigers destroy it. Luckily we got the GoPro back!

After one day of bad weather, the winds calmed down and seas went back to better conditions. We spent a day on an amazing reef at the edge of Hammertime and Ginormous. We had swim throughs with reef sharks waiting on both sides. Eventually a few tigers showed up to provide us some great photo opportunities.

After one super calm day the wind started to pick up again, so we used Crystal Tiger for its endless visibility. We camped out on the site for two days, allowing unlimited diving including a dive into the night. Over the last two days we had as many as 12 tigers at one time. At one point a pod of dolphins cruised through, amazing the guests. One of our favorite large tigers, Willy, showed up and came in closer than ever. She was not at all shy, which became quite a chore for the crew.

By the end of the week we had quite a wide range of photos to look through. Everyone had a great time, some conquering lifelong fears. Hopefully we will see all of our new and old friends again soon! Thanks for a great trip!

The guests, coming from Germany, France and various parts of the US, were more than happy to be in the warm Bohemian air. One group was on the boat filming our lemon sharks in 3D for a show we hope to see on National Geographic in the near future.

We started diving on one of our shallow reefs. Everyone was able to get comfortable with just reef sharks and a few lemons before any large sharks showed up to play. We knew it wouldn’t last long though. By day two we were seeing numerous different tiger sharks. Throughout the week we were greeted by up to 12 tigers on a single dive. Most of our diving was done at Tiger Beach, where regulars like Emma and Pat stole the show. We chose sites with beautiful backdrops for our photographers including; Turtle Grass, The Corn Field, Purple Place, Crystal Tiger and Classic Tiger Beach. We mixed in a little night diving, and in our down time we did lemon snaps.

Later in the week the weather had completely changed for the better and at one of our deeper reefs the action was the best of the week, allowing some beautiful pictures and a whole lot of excitement. Speaking of excitement, one of our crew, Matt, was able to remove his first hook from a lemon shark that seemed to be very uncomfortable. Good job Matt!
