Huge schools of spanish mackerel numbering in the tens of thousands swarmed us throughout both dives. Turtles and numerous sharks swirled in this amazing bait ball action. What an amazing day of diving!

The marine life in Palm Beach was out in epic proportion today. Everywhere we looked there was an amazing amount of marine life action. To top the list was the huge school of spinner sharks leaping out of the water after bait. Like a well orchestrated band, one after another they leaped out of the water spinning in full glory. Mixed in the bunch we even saw a manta, dolphins, and even a sailfish jump out of the water as they chased the schools of bait fish. Inshore the schools of large jacks swirling in a huge mass numbered into the thousands.
On the reefs the large marine life seemed unreal. Nurse sharks literally covered every nook and cranny of the reef. Loggerhead turtles were in large numbers, too. In the past week there have been sighting of great hammerheads, leatherback and kemp’s ridley turtles, and much more. It is unbelievable the sudden explosions of marine life in the area.
So if you see me on the boat with three or more cameras you’ll know why. Don’t miss the opportunity to see some of the greatest spectacles in the ocean world — right here in Palm Beach, Florida.
